Counterweight is a cast iron weight attached to the rear of the forklift. The purpose of the counterweight is to balance the loads to be lifted. In the electric forklift, the opposite weight to the front-weight battery is fixed.

The power source of the forklift has an internal combustion engine. The engine can be converted to fuel with LPG, CNG, diesel and natural gas. Electric forklifts are powered by fuel cells or lead acid batteries.
The carriage serves as the base to the forklift. The Carriage is fixed on mast rails so that it can be easily moved upward and downward.
The Mast is a vertical part that lifts up and pushes down the loads. The Mast component consists of Interlocking Rails that offers horizontal control. Like Carriage, Mast may be equipped with rollers.

The lift handle is connected to an electric air pump at the bottom of the forklift. When the handle is pressed, it triggers an air pump that draws in outside air through a filter and forces it into the pipe that reaches the hydraulic cylinders.
A hydraulic cylinder consists of a hollow tube, fitted with a flexible lubricating piston at one end. Air gets trapped through the bottom of the cylinder, allowing gases to enter without leaving. The amount of gas in the cylinder raises the pressure inside it. The pressure applied to the area of the piston head creates an upward force.
This force causes the piston to move upwards, increasing the volume of gas and reducing the pressure. This creates physical balance at the forklift height and equal force from the gas and forklift loads.
